Set up Combo Tickets

Modified on 27 February

You can create combo tickets to offer special discounts. For example, if you are selling one adult ticket for $20 you could create an offer such as “Buy 1 adult ticket, get 1 kid ticket for free.”

The free kid ticket will only be available for selection after 1 adult ticket has been selected; once the maximum of 1 free kid ticket is selected, the user is unable to add additional free kid tickets.

Set Up

Navigate to Dashboard>>Setup and click on the ticket that you want to include as a part of the combo. In this example, you would click on the Kid Ticket (edit icon on the right).

Click on "Only Allow this ticket to be purchased as part of a combo" as shown below.

In the Dashboard >> Tickets >> Combo Tickets settingsyou need to mark the appropriate tickets as part of a combo. Click the edit icon beside the ticket(s) you want to make into combo tickets.

Check the combo ticket box here.  Here you can set up the logic. In this example, we're allowing someone who's buying at least 1 Adult ticket to get one 1 free Kid Ticket.

In this example, there is one ticket group with an Adult ticket and a free Child ticket which are only available with the purchase of an Adult ticket. Since free Child tickets are only available as part of a combo ticket, the combo ticket setting should be enabled for that ticket only.

Finally, add pricing for each level (Tickets >> Pricing). In this example, Adult tickets are $20 and free Child tickets are $0. You can also add other purchase periods if, for example, you want these prices to change closer to the event.

Once you have completed these steps, test your purchase path to ensure that your combo tickets are set up the way you want them.
