Ticket Transaction Limits

Modified on 11 March

You can use Ticket Transaction Limits to set a maximum quantity of tickets purchased in a single transaction. This can be used to set limits based on the event director's preference or venue capacity.

You can set these transaction limits by ticket level, ticket group, or across multiple ticket levels and ticket groups under Tickets >> Transaction Limits.

Ticket Transaction Limits

You can limit the maximum number of tickets purchased per transaction for each individual ticket level under Tickets >> Transaction Limits >> Ticket Transaction Limits.

For example, if you want a maximum of 2 tickets to be purchased at one time for any given ticket level (for example, for a specific tee time), set the Maximum Number of Tickets Per Transaction to 2 for each ticket level (for each tee time):

Then, click the blue Save button at the bottom of the page.

In the example above, when someone tries to purchase more than 2 tickets at one time for the 8:00am tee time, they will receive an error:

Multi Ticket and Cross Ticket Transaction Limits

When using Advanced Tickets, you can limit the maximum number of tickets purchased per transaction across multiple ticket levels within a ticket group under Tickets >> Transaction Limits >> Multi Ticket Transaction Limits.

When using simple tickets, you can limit the number of tickets purchased per transaction across multiple ticket levels under Tickets >> Transaction Limits >> Cross Ticket Transaction Limits.

Click the orange Add Another Limit button. Then, enter the Max Number of Tickets you would like to set for that transaction, and select the ticket levels that should be included in that limit.

You can click Add Another Limit to set additional limits across various ticket levels and/or click the trashcan icon on the right hand side of the limit to delete unwanted limits. When you are finished setting your ticket limits, click the blue Save button.

In the example above, if the combined number of tickets purchased in one transaction for the 8:00am, 8:15am, 8:30am, or 8:45am tee times is greater than 5, the purchaser will receive an error:

Note: When Advanced Tickets are enabled, you cannot set Multi Ticket Transaction Limits that include all the tickets within that group. These will have to be set as Ticket Group Transaction Limits (below).

Ticket Group Transaction Limits

When using Advanced Tickets, you can limit the number of tickets within a single ticket group that can purchased per transaction under Tickets >> Transaction Limits >> Ticket Group Transaction Limits.

To set up Ticket Group Transaction Limits, enter the chosen Maximum Number of Tickets Available for a group:

In the example above, if the combined number of tickets purchased from any ticket level in the Individual Golf Tickets group is greater than 3, the purchaser will receive an error message.

Cross Ticket Group Transaction Limits

When using Advanced Tickets, you can set the maximum number of tickets purchased per transaction across multiple ticket groups under Tickets >> Transaction Limits >> Cross Ticket Group Transaction Limits.

This is similar to the Multi Ticket Transaction limits, but it covers the combinations of tickets purchased across the selected groups (rather than within one ticket group).

To set up Cross Ticket Group Transaction Limits, click the orange Add Another Limit button. Then, enter the Max Number of Tickets you would like to set for that transaction, and select which ticket groups will be included in that limit:

You can click Add Another Limit to set additional limits across various ticket groups and/or click the trashcan icon on the right hand side of the limit to delete unwanted limits. When you are finished setting your ticket limits, click the blue Save button.

In the example above, if the combined number of tickets purchased between the Individual Golf Tickets and the Team of 4 Golf Tickets is greater than 10, the purchaser will receive an error.
